To cater to all the streams of Engineering, MCA and MBA there are more than 50 sophisticated laboratory facilities. All the Labs are well equipped with industry standard equipment.
Care is taken to ensure that the students gain adequate ‘hands on’ experience. Separate labs are provided for different software with xeon dual processor based servers and dual core nodes.
The Electrical Labs have thyristor controlled power supplies with automatic regulation. The Communications Labs have Spectrum analyzers, Vector Scopes and field strength meters.
KIET Group is one of the few Remote Centers under the initiative “Teach 10000 Teachers” initiated by Dr. D B Pathak. The program aims at developing faculty & teaching profession with its Faculty Development Programs by staff from IIT Bombay, IIT Kharagpur and IIT Madras.
BOSS MOOL LAB
BOSS (Bharat Operating Systems Solutions) – MOOL (Minimalistic Object Oriented Linux) aims at redesigning the Linux kernel to reduce coupling and increase maintainability by means of OO (Object Oriented) abstractions. A joint work of IIT Madras & CDAC, Chennai.
First of its kind outside IIT-M, started on 26th Jan, 2016. This laboratory certainly inspired many of the students in and around KIET to lead a passionate life of a building the indigenous OS.
An initiative by IIT Bombay that aims to create the next generation of embedded systems engineers with a practical outlook to help provide practical solutions to some of the real world problems.
